Grandmaster Thé was born in Bandung, Indonesia in 1943. He started his studies of Shaolin-Do at age six under Grandmaster Ie Chang Ming. Grandmaster Thé holds a tenth degree black belt in Shaolin-Do and was named Grandmaster by Grandmaster Ie upon his retirement in 1968. He is a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a degree in engineering. He currently divides his time between Lexington, Kentucky and Los Angeles, California. Grandmaster Thé has three children.

Elder Master Bill Leonard is the senior student of Grandmaster Sin Thé, studing with him since 1967. He currently holds the rank of 8th Degree Black Belt and is the manager of the Sin Thé Karate School in Lexington along with his wife, Dale, who is also a black belt. Elder Master Leonard teaches all levels of the art and his seminars and specialty classes have attracted hundreds of students. He has had a number of schools in the state of Kentucky, which have been passed on to other instructors who now instruct hundreds of others in the art of Shaolin-Do. Only Grandmaster Thé has taught more students. Elder Master Leonard is a native of Kentucky and has four children and is a grandfather.

Elder Master Eric Smith currently holds the rank of 8th Degree Black Belt in Shaolin-Do. He is a recognized leader in the Shaolin-Do community and has held seminars throughout the country. Elder Master Smith currently lives in Michigan where he is the CEO of his own company. He is a graduate of Harvard University and of the University of Kentucky Law School.
